Coronavirus /COVID 19 Update
Due to increasing number of infected patients all over the world, I would like to provide the following guidance for all employees.
Infection Prevention and Control
Hand washing is the most effective infection control measure. Wash your hands frequently when you come to work, when you return to work or go home, before eating, and before returning to your department from a meeting or after shaking hands with other people.
Consider wearing masks when you are in crowded places such as when you are traveling by train or plane
If you have a fever, do not force yourself to go to the office and take the necessary rest.
See your family doctor; seek medical assistance, if you are not feeling well.
Meetings and Business Trips
For meetings, seminars, and training sessions people gather (>15 pax), consider postponement (or cancellation) of the meeting and/or switching meeting method (e.g. utilization of online meeting tools such as Skype and Teams, etc.).
Cancel your participation in non-urgent external seminars, trainings, conferences, etc.
In addition to China, please avoid nonessential and non-urgent business trips especially to regions with high infection rates listed below;
China
Japan / this also applies to travel from Japan
Republic of Korea
Hong Kong
Singapore
Italy
Please follow the development of virus infections in the media for the latest information, because the number of critical countries will most likely grow.
When returning from the above risk areas, refrain from coming to the office for 14 days – if you show any symptoms, please seek medical assistance immediately.
If any employee has been in close contact with someone who has recently returned from a country on the above list and if either they or the traveler show symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, then the employee should work from home for 2 weeks and please seek medical assistance for the person immediately.

With these measures, we can all contribute to limiting the risks of the virus spreading. Having said this, it is also important to understand that there is no reason for fear or even panic. At the current information status, COVID-19 is less harmful than a “regular” influenza, so the same precautionary measures shall apply. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional updates when further information is available or necessary.
Please take good care of yourselves,
Kind regards

Also normalerweise eine typische schwere Männerkrankheit
