Heute erhielt ich folgende eMail meines früheren Stammhotels, die m.E. die Situation und Stimmung auf Samui verdeutlicht:
„Dear Valued Guests,
Greeting from Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza.
In response to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic and state of
emergency being placed in Thailand, Tourism business has been
severely effected and after we have suspended the operations,
it does not seem the business will be recovered in a few years as
Koh Samui has been over supply already for a normal situation.
After many discussions and meeting within the company, we regret
to inform our valued Partners, with difficult decision but finally
we have decided to close down our hotel business in order to
protect other business divisions which effective from dated
30th September,
2020 onwards.
Last but not least, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all loyal
customers and other valued guests.
We apologize for any disruptions and thank you all for your understanding.
Wish you all safe and healthy. We will pass this difficult time together!
Faithfully yours,
Iyara Beach Hotel and Plaza, Koh Samui“
