Tja, und nachdem jetzt alle Restaurants geschlossen haben, hat gestern Abend mein "Cheffe" halt mal wieder zu Hause etwas "gezaubert"...

Tja, und da wir in Corona-Zeiten uns alle einschränken und den Gürtel etwas enger schnallen müssen, heute Abend nochmals "Diät" auf Balkonien...

Und hier mal ein Update zu meiner / unserer aktuellen "Gefühlslage".

Am 29.03. (#301) hatte ich ja folgendes gepostet:

"Hier mal ein paar Gedanken zu meiner / unseren Gefühlslage:

Aktuell fühle ich mich / wir uns bezüglich der Gefahr einer Corono-Erkrankung hier in Thailand und insbesondere in Jomtien genauso "sicher" oder sogar "sicherer" als in Deutschland.

Und wenn ich die Beschränkungen / Einschränkungen im täglichen Leben hier und in Deutschland vergleiche, dann ist es insbesondere derzeit hier in Thailand "angenehmer" und "gefahrloser" zu leben als in Deutschland.

Unser Rückflug ist planmäßig für Mitte Mai vorgesehen.

Und ich sehe überhaupt keinen Grund "panikartig" - und soweit überhaupt verfügbar - nach einem früheren Rückflug zu suchen!"

Und daran hat sich - auch nach den neuesten Restriktionen und Beschränkungen - immer noch nichts geändert.

Das einzige, was sich für uns geändert hat ist, dass wir unseren großen Thailand-Trip, der ab dem 10. 4. vorgesehen und auch schon gebucht war, inzwischen gecancelt haben:

Wir wollten ja über Songkran zuerst eine Woche nach Sukhothai zu den Eltern von Nat fahren.

Und dann über Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkran und Prachuap Khiri Khan nach Ranong und von dort aus nach Koh Phayam fahren. Und anschließend außerdem noch weiter runter in den Süden nach Koh Kho Khao und von dort rüber nach Surat Thani und 2 Wochen auf Koh Samui und Koh Phangan verbringen. Anschließend und auf dem Rückweg waren dann auch mehrtägige Stops in Chumphon und in Hua Hin gebucht.

Aber jetzt bleiben wir halt in Jomtien in unserem Condo und "sitzen es hier aus"!

Und falls sich bis Mitte Mai die Situation in D bezüglich der Beschränkungen im täglichen Leben nicht verändert haben sollte, dann bleiben wir ggf. auch noch einen Monat länger hier in Thailand!

Ich befürchte, dass bis dahin die Beschränkungen in Thailand genauso oder mehr sein werden, als in Deutschland !

So findet jeder seinen richtigen Weg, manche sogar den richtigsten. Hier sieht man sehr gut das die pauschalisierten Aussagen wo es denn besser wäre in dieser Zeit und was der andere immer alles falsch machen würde so nicht passt.
Jeder kann und soll für sich den besten Weg wählen. Du @hotmanni und Deine wunderbare Nat habt natürlich alle Zeit der Welt um das Leben so zu richten wie es für euch am besten ist. Das ist halt nicht bei jedem so möglich.
Ich beneide euch beide schon ein bisschen, wobei ich ja auch versuche das Beste aus der Situation zu machen.

Also Manni, nur das Beste für euch zwei, bleibt gesund, macht weiter so, lasst diese Diätportionen nicht überhand nehmen und genießt die Zeit. Auf ein hoffentlich baldiges Wiedersehen.

Chonburi announces two more confirmed cases of Covid-19 Coronavirus

"The province of Chonburi in Thailand, which includes the region of Banglamung and the city of Pattaya, announced two more cases of the novel Covid-19 Coronavirus this morning.

The case information is as follows:

A 48 year old Thai woman who is a medical worker in Banglamung, contracted from a Covid19 patient.

A 33 year old Sattahip woman, direct contact of another previous confirmed case.

25 cases have been released to date and recovered from the Coronavirus in Chonburi.

60 people remain under investigation for the disease in Chonburi currently."


Und so die Zahlen für ganz Thailand:

"At a Sunday morning press conference, which are taking place daily during the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation, Thai officials in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and the Department of Disease Control announced 102 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in Thailand, along with three additional deaths.

This brings the total number of cases in the Kingdom of Thailand to 2,169."

Diese Zahlen werden übrigens auch bei worldometers so genannt. Zusammen mit den 3 weiteren Todesfälle, hat sich die Gesamtzahl der Todesfälle laut worldometers aktuell auf insgesamt 23 erhöht. Problematisch sind diese Zahlenangaben allerdings deshalb, da laut worldometers die Gesamtzahl der Tests in Thailand nur 24.474 beträgt.

Bei mir in Lamai, gibt es ja überwiegend nur "take away", zumindest am Abend.
Da ich am Berghang wohne, wo es ziemlich steil aufwärts geht, habe ich allerdings folgenden Vorteil. Ich kann das "take away" Essen immer gleich aus der Plastiktüte auf den Teller kippen, weil diese scheiß Styroporverpackungen nicht richtig schließen.

Pattaya preparing for city closure on April 9th

Pattaya City is preparing for a 24 hour closure manned by multiple checkpoints on April 9.

The Banglamung District Chief Amnart Charoensri revealed this afternoon that Pattaya ( In Banglamung district ) has the top number of confirmed cases at 30 in Chonburi.

"Many of the confirmed cases in Pattaya are foreigners who were visiting Pattaya and living here. Most of our cases are imported.” The District Chief told The Pattaya News.

“We have to control the spread of the Corona virus. This is a difficult measure but we must stop people, especially foreign tourists, coming to the city at this time.” He added.

“The committee has approved to close Pattaya by setting entrance and exit check points.”

“The closing area will be from the Krating Rai Intersection before the overpass along with other additional checkpoints which will be finalized before Thursday.” The District Chief continued, showing an example but not finalized map below.

“This approval is to be suggested to the Chonburi Governor to issue the official closing announcement from 2PM on April 9 onward.” He concluded.

The Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunplueam said, “The lockdown will last at least three weeks or 21 days.”

Specific measures for allowances for who can and cannot pass the checkpoints, which will essentially lock out the entire “Dark Side” suburbs from Pattaya were not clarified to the press at this time. Social media users showed concern on being able to visit hospitals, immigration or Supermarkets. However, in a brief statement, city officials said that essential visits, which were not clarified as what is essential, would be allowed. Medical and essential deliveries like supplies will continue. Passes may be issued and approved, an example is below.

This is not a stay at home order or a lockdown, residents can move freely within the city and checkpoint boundaries outside of the national curfew, currently 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM hours.

Foreigners will need to have their original passport at all checkpoints. Thai nationals will need their ID card. Temperature checks will take place at every checkpoint, if one tests high they will be required to go to a hospital immediately. Interviews for reason and purpose of travel will take place.

Both the Mayor and the District Chief said that if one wants to avoid the checkpoints and unnecessary hassle they should stay home during this time and stay safe.

Mich wundert nur immer, wo ihr zwei das ganze leckere Futter hinsteckt? Ich nehme ja schon vom angucken der Bilder zwei Kilo zu...oder von dem Schweinebraten mit Spätzle, den ich gerade verzehrt habe. Darüber streiten sich die Gelehrten noch....

New checkpoints and restriction areas likely ready on Tuesday, will be located in Central Pattaya

New checkpoints and restricted zones are being finalized in Pattaya after yesterday’s first day of city wide closures caused a lot of traffic issues and local resident complaints.

The Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem told The Pattaya News this afternoon, “The Pattaya lockdown cannot be cancelled but we have planned to change some areas and check points.”

“All barriers which are blocking roads in the East, also known as the Darkside locally, and by the railroad will be or have been removed.” He added.

“Roads along the railway and Sukhumwit Road will be fully opened once these are all removed and shall stay so. Checkpoints will be set before the entrance to the inner Pattaya area or as we are referring to it, the ‘Red Zone’. ”

“Those checkpoints will likely be at Dolphin roundabout, the entrance to North Pattaya (Parinya Intersection), Central Pattaya (Arunothai Intersection), South Pattaya (Kopai Intersection) and Jomtien (Jomtien Second Road). A map will be provided prior to them becoming official.”

“It is expected that these checkpoints will be ready on Tuesday, April 14.” The Mayor said.

The reason for the restriction of Central Pattaya is that the majority of confirmed Covid19 cases have come from that area in Banglamung. Of those cases, most are imported cases of foreigners who recently arrived or traveled to the area. Of the Thai cases infected in the area nearly all came from a foreigner who was a recent arrival, City Hall stated.

Once the closure is resumed it is expected that random medical testing of the estimated 2,800 foreign tourists still living in the Central Pattaya area will take place, along with other high risk groups such as close contacts of confirmed cases and domestic Thai visitors who have recently arrived. This process will take about three weeks, the city estimates.

Pattaya is currently testing about 200 high risk people under investigation a day at the Grand Bella Hotel in Pattaya which is being used as a field hospital.
