Die Regierung erwaegt eine Ausgangssperre fuer die Hauptstadt:
Govt might announce curfew
The meeting of the Centre for the Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, was considering whether the curfew declaration is needed, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Sunday. During his “Confidence in Thailand with PM Abhisit” weekly television programme on NBT, Mr Abhisit stated that the curfew might be needed to minimize losses.
“The best way for preventing losses is ending the rally as the protest is a condition that leads to violence, particularly when protesters equipped with war weapons,” he said.
Mr Abhisit said he had directed education minister order the postponement of the opening day schools in Bangkok from this Monday to May 24 for safety reason.
