Genau da liegt der Hund begraben. Allgemein geht man in Europa davon aus, dass es mit Fernreisen so schnell nichts werden wird. Und das hat mehrere Gründe. Zum einen wissen wir überhaupt nicht, wann der weltweite Flugverkehr in dem Umfang wieder aufgenommen wird, wie wir ihn bisher gewohnt waren. Zum anderen gilt für die Philippinen die Reisewarnung der Stufe 6 und wir wissen nicht, wann sich das ändern wird. Das könnte darauf hinaus laufen, dass wir zwar auf die Philippinen fliegen dürfen, aber bei der Rückkehr ist Quarantäne angesagt.
Mir persönlich gebietet es die Vernunft, mich erst dann auf den Weg zu machen, wenn das Virus besiegt ist. Eine Schutzimpfung wäre da wohl das Optimum. Denn wenn es wirksame Medikamente gäbe, wer weiß denn, ob die auf den Philippinen im Fall des Falles verfügbar sind. So wie viele andere hier gehöre ich zur Gruppe der vulnerablen Personen.

Also erst einmal erlaubt die Massnahme eine kostenlose Stornierung, was angesichts des Risikos sicherlich fuer viele eine nicht unbedeutende finanzielle Hilfe ist. Angeschmiert sind jene, die nun wirklich dorthin wollen. Ich rechne mir mittlerweile ganz gute Chancen aus, dass mein Rueckflug nach BKK in's Wasser faellt. Damit bin ich in der Hinsicht erst einmal auf dem Trockenen, denn im besten Falle waeren 2 sehr teure Wochen in einem Quarantaenehotel angesagt gewesen. Ein neuer Flug direkt nach Manila waere in diesem Falle billiger gewesen, abgesehen von den tollen Tagen in Thailand.
Anscheinend wird Katar den Flugbetrieb aufrecht erhalten. Wenn dann auch noch Gulf Air (die sind billiger) mitmacht, dann ist ein Flug in die Phils zumindest theoretisch moeglich. Theoretisch, weil die Phils mitmachen muessen.
Die Reisewarnung ist uebrigens kein Reiseverbot. Z.B. die Reisewarnung fuer Oesterreich ist weniger das Problem als das die Berggermanen niemanden reinlassen.

Bei uns sagt man "Schlagobers" in Deutschland "Sahne", hier heißt es "All Purpose Cream" - ist aber was anderes als in DACH, da man das quasi nicht auf schlagen kann, aber ist ganz gut für Suppen, in den Pudding, Pilzrahmsauce und andere Sahne-Sachen.
Dachte "Kochsahne" ist am verständlichsten, weil eben die deutschen "Sahne" sagen und ich das zum kochen nehme.

@Nachtwanderer, vielleicht hilft dir diese Anleitung:

2/3 Milch und 1/3 ungesalzene Butter unter rühren im Topf erwärmen (nicht kochen!) bis die Butter aufgelöst ist.

Anschließend mit dem Mixer die Brühe so lange schlagen bis sie homogen ist (Sahne und Milch vollständig gemischt, so daß keine Fettaugen übrig bleiben).

Das Ergebnis ist "Kochsahne".
Diese wird zu echter Schlagsahne wenn du sie im Kühlschrank abkühlen lässt (1/2 bis 1 Tag).
Dann kannst du sie normal mit dem Mixer aufschlagen.
Das Resultat "Schlagsahne" funktioniert nur dann wenn die "Kochsahne" vor dem Abkühlen absolut homogen gemischt wurde. Anderenfalls hat man Butter und Molke.

Diese Methode hatte ich seinerzeit, vor der Jahrtausendwende, selbst in Thailand angewendet, als es noch so gut wie nirgendwo Sahne zu kaufen gab, zumindest nicht zu bezahlen Preis.

Jetzt habe ich mich doch genauer informiert. Bei uns in Österreich nimmt man zum Kochen eher Sauerraumprodukte. Sauerrahm (in D saure Sahne) ist das fettreichere Produkt. Daneben gibt es noch die Crème fraîche und den Schmand. Die Unterschiede sind eher minimal

Danke, diese Produkte Marken habe ich auch schon in den Malls gesehen, empfand ich immer als sehr teurer (glaube 200+ die packung) und dazu im Kühlregal muss damit evt. gekühlt sein.
Die kleinen von Alaska was ich meist nehme sind so bei 40.

Aber ist auch egal, hier solls ja nicht um lebensmittel gehen - unterm strich siehts überraschend positiv aus im Lagerbestand beim Save More und ich bin auch sehr positiv überrascht, dass ich bislang noch nichts groß von Ausschreitungen/Plünderungen gehört habe.
Die letzten 2 Wochen stehn wir auch noch durch und dann gehts wieder schrittweise vorwärts (Angeblich schon ab 1 May kein Alk bann mehr laut save more, mal sehn, hab noch bisschen)

MANILA, Philippines — Plans to travel abroad after the two-month enhanced community quarantine will have to wait until next year, according to the Department of Tourism (DOT).
“International travel might not happen this year. At this point in time, traveling (abroad) is but a dream,” Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said during a virtual hearing of the House committee on tourism on Tuesday.
Puyat did not say whether such policy would cover domestic travel as she revealed plans for a “new normal” in the tourism industry.

The new normal will be implemented until a vaccine for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is found.
She said there would be mandatory regular sanitation or disinfection of hotels and accommodation facilities, tourism transport services and tourism-related establishments such as meeting and exhibit venues, restaurants and spas.

Puyat said inspection of tourism establishments would be conducted regularly.
Sanitation and disinfecting devices, including personal protective equipment, will be provided for tourism workers.
She said the DOT would pursue the development of online systems that can facilitate tourism-related transactions digitally such as applications for accreditation, training and modules, and retail.
Hotels are advised to establish systems for contactless check-in, where guests can simply get their keycards and proceed straight to their rooms.
Hotels may have to do away with breakfast buffets that require guests to use the same serving spoons to get food.
Instead, hotels will provide bento boxes, expand their kitchens and institute better spacing of tables to allow proper social distancing.
Puyat said the DOT plans to limit the capacity of tourism transportation, restaurants and tourist spots such as parks, museums and meeting/convention facilities.
Aside from these plans for the new normal, she said the DOT implemented the Tourism Response and Recovery Program during the initial stages of the pandemic to help tourism-related businesses and their workforce get back on their feet.
The DOT earlier implemented a moratorium on the collection of accreditation fees from new and renewing applicants from tourism enterprises (TEs) and tourism-related enterprises (TREs) for the year 2020.
The DOT and the Tourism Promotions Board waived participation fees in international fairs and exhibitions set between now and the end of 2021.
Under the proposed Philippine Economic Stimulus Act of 2020, the DOT will get at least P43 billion to assist affected businesses in the tourism industry.
During the hearing, DOT officials said they are planning to use P36 billion to extend soft loans to tourism enterprises, P4 billion for projects of the Philippine Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, P500 million each for domestic and international tourism promotion and capacity building for industry stakeholders training, and P1.5 billion for tourism crisis response by supporting private sector activities.
Puyat said the year-on-year revenue in the tourism sector dropped by 40 percent in the first quarter to P79.8 billion from P134.3 billion last year.
She said there were only 1.3 million tourist arrivals from January to March as compared to the 2.2 million in the same period last year.
The DOT pledged to bring home local tourists who are stranded in various tourist sites in the country due to the enhanced community quarantine.
The agency welcomed the approval by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) of its request to charter and fund sweeper flights for qualified stranded local tourists from other regions to the National Capital Region.
There are at least 2,390 local tourists stranded in various places in the country.
Stranded tourists can get in touch with the DOT regional offices and wait for the schedule of sweeper flights. – With Ghio Ong

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (MindaNews / 29 April) – The city government has purchased some 7,200 metric tons of imported rice worth around P305 million to augment its continuing relief operations for residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
Mayor Ronnel Rivera said Wednesday they expect the rice supplies, which were acquired in Vietnam through a private supplier, to arrive in the next few days at the Makar wharf here.
He said the shipment comprises some 288,000 bags of rice at 25 kilos each or a total of 7.2 million kilos.
The mayor said the cargo vessel carrying the rice shipment is currently in Cebu and unloading the supplies acquired by local government units in the area.
“The unloading in Cebu was actually delayed for several days because of port congestion but we were told that it is already being done and the vessel will proceed here after that,” he told reporters.
Rivera said they opted to import the rice supplies due to the limited standby stocks of the National Food Authority (NFA) provincial office here.
He said they have signed a memorandum of agreement with the food agency for the storage of the rice supplies in its warehouse here.
The mayor said the coming supplies will be combined with the 6,000 bags of rice earlier purchased by the local government from the NFA, bringing its total rice stocks to around 7.5 million kilos.
He said these will be distributed to the city’s 169,000 households in two waves in the next two months.
“We will be providing each household with two 25-kilo packs or equivalent to one sack of rice (50 kilos) as set in our response measure approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod,” he said.
Rivera added that they had programmed to provide each household at least five kilos of rice for two months to help them cope with the impact of the quarantine measures.
Since last month, the city government has already released around P600 million for COVID-19 response, with the bulk of the funds utilized for the relief efforts.
The distributed relief assistance included assorted canned goods and noodles, pork and chicken meat, fish and vegetables. (MindaNews)

Als Balikbayan dürfen wir ja rein .....werde nun mal abwarten wann die Qarantäne dort gelockert wird und ob die Filipinos danach domestic reisen dürfen . Ist ja egal wo man mit einer Maske rumläuft denn biss die Grenzen in der Eu wieder öffnen wird es auch wohl noch dauern . Heute hat D ja mal wieder verlängert wie ich in den news hörte so als ob man an einer geschlossenen Grenze einen Virus aufhalten könne .

Ich denke, dabei geht es nicht nur um das Virus. Jens Spahn möchte wohl nicht, dass die Deutschen ihr Geld auch nach Österreich tragen. Ist zwar verständlich, aber ein weiterer Beleg dafür, dass Bekenntnisse zu einem vereinten Europa eben nur Lippenbekenntnisse sind. Denn in Österreich ist der Replikationsfaktor deutlich niedriger als in D.

Und das eigentlich Schlimme an der ganzen Situation. Wir fahren freiwillig unsere Wirtschaft an die Wand, demontieren unsere Grundrechte und die Demokratie in Europa und befeuern die extreme Ungleichheit zwischen extrem arm und reich weltweit.
Einen Aufenthalt diese Jahr auf den Philippinen habe ich schon geistig zu den Akten gelegt. Sollte ich dann doch Anfang oder Mitte nächsten Jahres wieder einreisen können, dann nur für einen Tag, meine Kleine zu schnappen (offloading vermeiden), um in Thailand eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen.

Ein sehr guter Freund von mir der sich über 35 Jahre mittlerweile ein 5* Resort aufgebaut hat und der sehr gut dort vernetzt ist schrieb mir dass er erfuhr dass Hotels wohl erst Ende des Jahres wieder öfnnen dürften und das auch nur für "Domestic Travelers ." Er beschäftigt aber 65 Leute und hatte versucht die auch durch die Corona Zeit mit Renovierungsarbeiten zu beschäftigen aber biss zum Ende des Jahres wird er das wohl nicht finanziell schaffen .

Unsere einzige Hoffnung wird wohl sein wenn es eine Impfung gibt .

Das wäre schon heftig lange, tue ich mir schwer vor zu stellen, aber wer weiß, kann natürlich alles sein.
Falls das so ist, werden wohl auch die Bars so lange nicht aufmachen -In AC ohnedies, die leben ja sowieso von den Touris, aber bei Baretto hatte ich noch bisschen hoffnung, zumindest auf die kleinen Läden, da dort recht viele Expats sind.
Wollte eigentlich bald nachdem es wieder aufgeht einen kurzen Ausflug irgendwo dahin machen, kann ich mir aber in die Haare schmieren, wenn man da nix zum übernachten hat, wobei über private kontackte sicher was geht, wie immer hier....

Anfang/Mitte nächsten Jahres ist auch nur eine Idee - leider nicht mehr. Sollte es bis dahin eine Impfung geben (steht in den Sternen) und ich einreisen kann, sind die Philippinen wohl nicht mehr das Land was wir kennen. Es gab vorher schon viel Armut und Gewaltkriminalität (diese hat weitgehend nur Einheimische betroffen) aber was wird, wenn man weiter einen Selbstzerstörungskurs fährt? Ein Polizeistaat mit extremer Armut und Gewaltkriminalität? Ein Venezuela Asiens?

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Government soldiers killed an Abu Sayyaf terrorist in a clash in the Muslim province of Sulu in Southern Philippines, officials confirmed Wednesday. Officials said troops were on foot patrol in Mount Tumatangis in Indanan town, site of a recent battle between the terrorist pro-Islamic State (IS) group and the former rebel group Moro National Liberation Front that left seven of the latter’s members wounded. A flash military report received here by Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana from the Army’s 11th Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Corleto Vinluan said the wounded bandits were taken to a military hospital in Jolo for treatment. Vinluan disclosed that a group of soldiers was operating in the forested area at Kagay village in an attempt to rescue three Indonesian fishermen who were earlier kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf bandits off the sea of Kagay when they encountered the terrorists. The Tuesday morning gunfight lasted more than 25 minutes with soldiers seizing the Abu Sayyaf encampment, including an automatic rifle with grenade launcher, cell phones, solar panels and provision. There was no report of military casualty in the fighting. The operation against the Abu Sayyaf is continuing in Sulu, one of five provinces under the Muslim autonomous region. The Abu Sayyaf, whose leaders pledged allegiance to IS, is fighting for the establishment of a caliphate, and also involved in ransom kidnappings in southern Philippines and in Sabah, Malaysia. Despite their notoriety, the Duterte government continues to lure terrorists to surrender and promise them financial and livelihood aid and in some cases, amnesty and even jobs as members of the army’s militia units. This government program was also implemented in previous administrations, but hundreds of those who surrendered and received financial aid had either returned to mountains to fight again after spending their money, or had joined other rebel groups only to surrender under a different identity to avail the same program.

Hier noch etwas zu Cebu Pacific. Interessant ist, dass die Fluege nach China (mainland, dh. wohl ohne Hongkong, Macau und natuerlich ohne das unabhaengige Taiwan) 9% der Fluege zu normalen Zeiten ausmachten. Der Umstand veranschaulicht sehr deutlich, wie weit die chinesische Durchdringung der Phils fortgeschritten ist.
