Die Thai VietJet air wird ab dem 23 Dezember zwei neue internationale Verbindungen ab U-Tapao anbieten und zwar SAIGON und HANOI . Saigon wird dann täglich angeflogen und Hanoi vier Mal in der Woche .

Thai VietJet in late-December 2019 is launching new routes from Utapao, with service to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, on board Airbus A320 aircraft. Planned schedule as follows.

Utapao – Hanoi eff 23DEC19 4 weekly A320

VZ931 HAN0855 – 1055UTP 320 x246

Utapao – Ho Chi Minh City eff 23DEC19 1 daily A320

für diese Route gibt es z.Zt. Promo-Tarif für 79,90 USD Roundtrip, incl. 7kg Handgepäck, gegen Aufpreis auch Gepäckstücke zum Einchecken. In Eco kostet der Roundtrip 105,50 USD.

Keine Ahnung, ob das günstig ist, im Vergleich zu den bisherigen Möglichkeiten, die Abflugzeiten finde ich schon mal gut!

Fuer Saigon Perfekt. 10.00 in Patty aufbrechen ist doch Supi. Fehlt nur noch Phu Quoc im Reigen.

Hier mal die Visa Bestimmungen für Vietnam

1.1 Only the citizens of below countries are able to visit Vietnam without an entry visa:
- Most citizens of ASEAN member-countries as Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos do not need a Vietnam visa if they visit Vietnam within 30 days. The Philippine passport holders do not need a Vietnamese visa for 21 days and Myanmar do not need Visa within 14 days. The passport holders of Brunei are not required to get a visa to Vietnam for 15 days. They could apply for popular passport type with return tickets.
- From July, 1st 2015 to next June 2016, Vietnam Government exempts Visas for nationals of 5 Western European countries as: France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom and Italy. They do not need visa if staying in Vietnam less than 15 days regardless of their purpose or type of visas.
- The Passport Holders from Korea, Japan, Russia and the Scandinavian nations (as Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland) do not need a visa to Vietnam if they intend to stay in the country within 15 days. They could also apply for popular passport type with return tickets.

Österreicher brauchen leider Visum....

So nicht ganz richtig . Bei Reisen nach Phu Quoc für biss zu 15 Tagen dürfen sämtliche Nationen ohne Visa in Vietnam einreisen .

Ein Besuch bei einer Botschaft ist auch nicht nötig da man eine Einreisegenehmigung online erhält mit der man dann am Einreiseflughafen sein Visa in den Pass gestempelt kriegt . Das kann allerdings je nach Andrang dort schon mal eine Stunde dauern

Die Verbindung nach Hanoi wurde auf Eis gelegt und die neue Verbindung nach Saigon wird nicht täglich angeboten sondern nur 4 x die Woche .

Thai VietJet Air today (23DEC19) launches new service from Utapao to Vietnam, which sees the inaugural of Utapao – Ho Chi Minh City route. Originally scheduled as daily flight, the airline has revised operational frequency from 7 to 4 weekly, between 27DEC19 and 29FEB20.
